Lindsey Goehring is a partner with the Law Office of Goehring & Strang, PLLC. She dedicates her time to assisting clients in all areas of family-based immigration law and consular processing as well as petitions for Asylum, Temporary Protected Status, U-visa and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. Ms. Goehring also represents clients before Immigration Judges and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
Ms. Goehring graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2011. While in law school, she was a member and Notes Editor of the North Carolina Journal of Law and Technology. She also participated in the Immigration Law Association, the Carolina Public Interest Law Organization, and was a member of the Honor Court. After completing her first year of law school, Ms. Goehring interned with the General Board of Church and Society in Washington, D.C. where she served as a policy intern, advocating for immigration reform on Capitol Hill. Following her second year in law school, Ms. Goehring interned with the Legal Aid of North Carolina where she assisted domestic violence victims with obtaining protective orders from their abusers. In her third year of law school, Ms. Goehring was the Research Assistant for the Immigration and Human Rights Policy Clinic, helping clients apply for their Lawful Permanent Resident (also referred to as a “Green Card”) status and renew their work authorization.
Ms. Goehring graduated in 2008 from the College of Charleston in SC with a double major in Political Science and Spanish and a minor in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. During her time at the College of Charleston, Ms. Goehring was active in various clubs and honor societies. She had the privilege of studying abroad for one semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Ms. Goehring is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Mecklenburg County Bar Association as well as the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
